OK, here's the deal. The gays want super-equality. You want rights not even given to a man married to a woman. Have gay people ever considered just being gay, doing your thing, and shutting the fuck up? When you do the whole loud "I'm gay and I'm loud and proud and I'm going to shove it in your face till you accept me" thing, two things happen. ((( #1 ))), MOST OF SOCIETY ARE REPULSED. Some of you dance in the street in thongs. You have sex in the street in San Fran at the gay festival. You say inappropriate over-sexualized things to co-workers and bystanders. Because you live in a world that is over-sexualized and your identity revolves around your sexuality, you think everyone is like that or needs to be more like that. Just be normal and do what you want in your own bedroom like everyone else, and things will start going better for you. ((( #2 ))) YOU COME ACROSS AS NEEDY AND INSECURE. Let's face it, when you all get together and march and hold signs that say "I'm SO proud to be gay", it REEKS of you over-trying to convince yourselves. We all know there is shame involved in homosexuality- why was it hard for most of you to tell your parents? Because of the shame. The rest of us don't believe you're proud of it....period. But when you shout about how proud you are, it's like the insecure person in the office who is always trumpeting their achievements to anyone who will listen because they're insecure about their true ability and they're overcompensating and trying to cover their insecurity by boasting, etc.....EVERYONE sees through it and they appear MORE pathetic and insecure than if they just did their job and kept a low profile. The people who know what they're doing don't have to run their mouth about it. Those of us who have no shame about our sexuality don't have to run their mouths constantly about it. MAYBE you should stop bashing the rest of over the head with it!!

First gay divorce hits Texas court
By 365gay Newscenter Staff 01.23.2009 11:26am EST (Dallas, Texas) A Dallas man who married his longtime partner in Massachusetts is asking a Texas court to grant him a divorce. Send / ShareAdd CommentIt is believed to be the first time that a court in Texas has been asked to grant a divorce stemming from a same-sex marriage, although a court earlier refused to dissolve a civil union that had been obtained by another couple in Vermont. In that case, the judge cited the Texas constitution, which bans same-sex marriage. The men were married in 2006 in Cambridge, Mass. and then returned to Dallas. They split up last year and a court filing by one of the men this week cites “discord or conflict of personalities.” The man’s attorney, Peter Schulte, tells the Dallas News that he is uncertain how the court will rule. Attorney General Greg Abbott told The News that he will ” defend Texas law – and the will of the people.” “In the State of Texas, marriage is – and has always been – a union between one man and one woman. To prevent other states from imposing their values on this state, Texas voters overwhelmingly approved a Constitutional amendment specifically defining marriage as a union of one man and one woman,” he said in a written statement. “Because the parties’ Massachusetts-issued arrangement is not a marriage under Texas law, they are asking a Texas court to recognize – and dissolve – something that does not legally exist.” But Schulte said the issue is about divorce, not gay marriage. “That’s not what we’re talking about here. They want to get divorced just like a straight couple,” he said. |

Proposition 8 would eliminate fundamental rights for a group of Californians. It’s unfair and it’s wrong. Fiction: Prop 8 doesn’t discriminate against gay people. Fact: Prop 8 is simple: it eliminates the rights for same-sex couples to marry. Prop 8 would deny equal protections and write discrimination against one group of people—lesbian and gay people—into our state constitution.
Do you find this valuable?
