whats interesting to me is this day was created for people who care and beleive in something. In this day and age there are not enough people who stand up for what they believe in. they just follow the leader. So anyone who came on this site to only be hateful and negative, maybe you should ask yourself why your so interested in what other people are doing. Leave people alone.

Be sure to Terminate any employee who purposely injures your business. Anyone not reporting for work because they don't like the way an election was voted obviously doesn't need the job. There are many more people who can use the work and are equally qualified. So fire any fag who trys to pull that kind of stunt.

You lost the vote. I may not agree with how the proposition passed, but I am content that democracy was put in action. Stop trying to reverse what the people wanted. You are not in the majority of the vote. You're just making the gay community look worse. I may support gay rights, but I don't support whining. We're not convincing anybody of our cause if most of us act like complete fools and whine - we don't need sore losers.

I think this is great. Why not make it a week, or month, or even year. The longer we go without having to see or hear from a gay person, the better.

Scott Craig, a fifth-grade teacher at Independence Charter School in Philadelphia, had no problem requesting and being granted the day off. So many of the school's 60 teachers were eager to show support for gay rights they had to make sure enough stayed behind to staff classrooms.
About 25 teachers plan to take Wednesday off and to have their work covered by substitutes while they discuss ways to introduce gay issues to their students and volunteer at the local branch of the American Civil Liberties Union, Craig said. A letter telling parents why so many teachers would be out went home Monday. "We want to get the conversation going in the community that gay is not bad," Craig said. "For kids to hear that in a positive light can be life-changing."

12-10-08 VOLUNTEER TO GIVE BLOOD! Or at least try....
At any time there seems to be a blood shortage throughout the United States. Hospitals desperately await blood and bone marrow from donors with specific blood types. More often than not, a donation could end up saving the life of an adult or child in desperate need. What if a donor with a rare blood type happens to be gay? In response to the AIDS crisis of the 1980's the FDA banned any man who has had sex with another man since 1977 from giving blood. This 1985 provision argued that men who have sex with other men are at higher risk of contracting and transmitting HIV and hepatitis, posing a health risk to potential recipients. Thus, even with a needed rare blood type, gay men are prohibited from donating blood. What if a terminally ill patient is in need of a specific blood type and there is a gay man willing to be a donor? Due to the 1985 ban on gay blood donors, the patient in need would continue to wait for another suitable match, risking death. The patient is not informed if a gay donor has been found and does not have the opportunity to decide if they are willing to accept the health risk. Is the ban based on medical fact or homophobia? Advocate Peter Tatchell states that the ban on gay blood donors "is based on the assumption that all homosexual and bisexual men are 'high risk' for HIV." and that the "policy seems to reflect homophobic prejudices, not medical facts." The policy also virtually ignores the health risk posed by heterosexual donors who've been exposed to HIV or AIDS. Every healthy and responsible person should give blood. Be truthful when you fill out the questionnaire prior to giving, so that they know that they have to choose whether to throw away your healthy, life saving blood. (info about the legality of gays giving blood reposted from: http://gaylife.about.com) |

Saying i'm calling in gay to show how important gays are to the workforce is like telling all crack users to call in cracked out to show how much the workforce relys on crack users. Doesent make any sense, you personal choices have no bearing onn your work ethics or your need at your workplace. I personally am straight as all normal people are, the choice for you to go against the norm and natural way that God intended us to be has no affect on your job UNLESS you do something like this that directly affects it. Your personal life choices the go on after work hours are your choices and you have a right to them by law, but when you bring them and force them on your employer such as calling in gay then you are forcing them to become part of your personal choice and they do NOT have to do that by law, so that is not right. Just thinkn about this before you possibly throw away a good job for another crack pot idea by some overzealous activist, good jobs are hard to come by in this economy. Just my thoughts on the matter, don't have to agree with me but I am entitled to them.
