"Thanks for your honest reply. What about people who bash you? Let the excellence of your work, your life, and your virtues be your protest. If gays keep screaming, they will continue to polarize the population, most of whom will be turned off and polarized toward the negative. I think the prop 8 vote is evidence of that, and I would guess that if there was another prop 8 vote next week and the same people were allowed to vote, it would win by a greater margin because of the way gays have reacted. They have come off as vengeful, whiny, and disregarding of the American democratic process."
Are you insane?! Shut up and stop whining and it will go away? This isnt a toy we were denied you idiot! This was a right that as tax paying Americans we were denied. I think it is you and those who think it Indignent that we fight that need to shut up and re-think how you handle us. polarize the population against us, honey where have you been?? It isn't because we are fighting that it is that way, it's because we are. Let our lifes work be our protest?? I have been fired from a management position due to being outted by a theif at work that I found out. The investigation went from him stealing to me being Gay, even though I did nothing to identify myself as such in the work place. My lifes work was a shitty middle manager position that got taken away from me at the age of 33, now I have to start over, no college barely finished High school due to the harassment for being Gay! And you wanna come on here and tell me and those like me that I need to be silent and hope that someday acceptance will come??? Fuck you!

As it has been said on here also...The American Democratic Process was not respected by the state of California, it is being demanded to be respected by Gays. It has been stated by the constitution that Democracy is "Ensuring the will of the Majority, while protecting the rights of the Minority" ...no rights were protected they were taken away from TAX PAYING AMERICANS!

You're young and stupid, and just as sick in the head as the rest of the gays! Better be careful or you'll come down with something too!

"WHO THE FUCK CARES. Gays come up short, again. A day without a Mexican has already been done. I highly doubt that anyone, except the Theater and anything that leads up to the Theater business, maybe some gay bars, and the Assless Chaps stores would be empty on 12/10/08. Protest, protest, you assholes.. Shit, even your savior Barrack Obama's running mate JOE BIDEN condemned your existence! HAHA! BARRACK AND ROLL, BABY!"
"OBAMA'nation" takes on a whole new meaning!!

Same Rights???? Tell it to my partner. She is American and we have to be in England because I have no right to get my visa to move to America. (6 years together).

By the way I'm proud of being lesbian everytime some one says it is wrong, it is a sin, is this or that.

"OK, here's the deal. The gays want super-equality. You want rights not even given to a man married to a woman. Have gay people ever considered just being gay, doing your thing, and shutting the fuck up? When you do the whole loud "I'm gay and I'm loud and proud and I'm going to shove it in your face till you accept me" thing, two things happen. ((( #1 ))), MOST OF SOCIETY ARE REPULSED. Some of you dance in the street in thongs. You have sex in the street in San Fran at the gay festival. You say inappropriate over-sexualized things to co-workers and bystanders. Because you live in a world that is over-sexualized and your identity revolves around your sexuality, you think everyone is like that or needs to be more like that. Just be normal and do what you want in your own bedroom like everyone else, and things will start going better for you. ((( #2 ))) YOU COME ACROSS AS NEEDY AND INSECURE. Let's face it, when you all get together and march and hold signs that say "I'm SO proud to be gay", it REEKS of you over-trying to convince yourselves. We all know there is shame involved in homosexuality- why was it hard for most of you to tell your parents? Because of the shame. The rest of us don't believe you're proud of it....period. But when you shout about how proud you are, it's like the insecure person in the office who is always trumpeting their achievements to anyone who will listen because they're insecure about their true ability and they're overcompensating and trying to cover their insecurity by boasting, etc.....EVERYONE sees through it and they appear MORE pathetic and insecure than if they just did their job and kept a low profile. The people who know what they're doing don't have to run their mouth about it. Those of us who have no shame about our sexuality don't have to run their mouths constantly about it. MAYBE you should stop bashing the rest of over the head with it!!"
Yep. Yep. Yep!!! I couldn't agree with you more!! I've said it all along! See people...TOLERANCE GOES BOTH WAYS!! You want tolerance and equality... PROVE IT! Can you do that, or are you not in control of that emotion either?

No rights were taken from the gays either...you just didnt get what you wanted by trampeling over the rights of others! So sad, too bad! Maybe if you'd respect the belief's of others, you'd receive respect and tolerance in return!!! OOOh what a concept!

Wow! Had the black movement not done any kicking in the 50s and 60s-do you think we would have a black president of the United States? Think before you talk (or in this case blab). Equality is not given to any one it is earned and respected, which can only happen if the inequality is brought to light. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Ahh yes they were you idiot, We are not recoginized by OUR GOVT. in our unions, Govt. Chose the word marriage not to recognize religion, but to define a taxing an rewarding option for legal reasons. Religion does not own marriage as in many other posts on here has identified that marriage existed before the bible. We are Americans and it isnt Democracy to deny us rights you get to take advantage of.

I can't believe how short minded you are. How about all the signs promoting heterosexual relationships, commercials, etc. Just because you're used to it doesn't mean it's how things are always gonna be. Open your mind and realize that being gay isn't about sex, or sexuality. It's about emotion, feelings. I know that straight men and women think about swex just as much as any gay or lesbian. It's not fair for you to sit up on your high horse saying that you are this and that and so much better because of course you would never say something about how proud you are to be who you are. And it does go both ways, heterosexuals should respect homosexuals and vice versa. I'm not saying either side is better than the other, or even that there should be two sides. Both can go overboard, but it's seen as more of a "bad thing" when it's a homosexual making a joke or comment than when a heterosexual does. I'm not even talking about it being sexual, but from what I've seen, it gets turned into something creepy and sexual in my work place if a person is even suspected to be gay by most people. If you feel the right to be loud and proud about you being straight and that's the way it should be and all that, then realize homosexuals are just voicing their own opinions about the same thing. People are people, let them be happy while they live the rest of their damn lives, why do you need to get involved if it doesn't hurt you that someone else is doing something to better their own. 4  out of 4 found this valuable. I don't think name calling and insults have any true value here. All it does is make you look like you don't know what you're talking about because you let you're temper get the better of you. I'm not saying it to piss anyone off, but just a reminder so that maybe you'll take a deep breath before posting something that may upset someone. You may or may not care, but it makes for a better conversation instead of turning into a name calling and swearing competition. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

When I hear queers talk about what they do or what they want to do, it makes me want to throw up. It's unnatural and you all know it. You can call it what you want and try to convince yourselves, but it's gross and unnatural. PLUS, it doesn't mean I hate gays, just that I think what they do is wrong. I don't hate my mom, but I think her being an alcoholic is wrong too. You gays throw that hate word around too much, which is lazy. I'll agree some people hate you, which is wrong, but most people just think what you do is wrong, they don't actually hate YOU. Disagreeing with what you do sexually is NOT the same as hating YOU. Some of you need to grow up and understand that instead of being babies running around saying "you don't agree with me so you must hate me!!" It really comes across as pathetic.

Maybe they'll "shut up" when they are given the same civil liberties as EVERYONE ELSE IN AMERICA.
Even prisoners are allowed to marry who they want. Why can't ALL law abiding citizens do the same???
