"it is simple...i was born gay, and you were born a MORON!!!!!"STOP STOP STOP. Do not feed the trolls, it only makes them stay. Ignore them. By feeding them you are allowing them to have control of this space, which is supposed to be a safe space. Stop calling people names. 1 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Seriously?Do you think that a child would choose to be teased, and called names in school? We do not choose to be hated. 2 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Seriously?I personally feel that being gay IS something your born with... However I've always found the argument of 'would I choose to be hated' a problem... People often choose things that when they are found out they are reviled for it... Did he choose to be a heroin user? or was he born that way? 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

24. Choice?

First of all, I don't understand why anyone would CHOOSE to be gay. That just sounds moronic. Only because, society makes life difficult for queer people, so why would someone choose a more difficult life? You are right in a way though. We do choose our lifestyle. I could still be living a straight lifestyle. God knows I did it for a long time. So, yes, we do choose to be open and honest and lead a lifestyle that is not the same as yours. However, I never chose to be attracted to men. But thank God I do, because I cannot imagine the other way. Gay in NC 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Being Gay is a CHOICE, and a choice that is highly overrated.I'm pretty convinced that being gay is a choice, my reasons are as follows. 1: Every animal that I know of that is bisexual or gay in any way is very intelligent. 2: those intelligent animals have the ability to think for themselves instead of having to follow their instincts. 3: As the intelligence in animals increases so does homosexuality. So based on those three facts that I know of, I can only incur that as intelligence increases and animals don't have to follow their instincts they CHOOSE to be homosexuals. Ps: All of the information that I have just stated I found when doing research for my freshmen Bio class. So don't think that I'm am just making things up. 0 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

So for those of you who think that being gay is a "choice" I would love to know when you sat down and said to yourself "Gee, I think I'll be straight." For those of you who wish to continue thinking that "we" chose to be gay, and thereby chose to be discriminated upon and treated like second class citizens because a book told you it's ok to do so...well my goodness, keep on doing so. May you be judged by whatever God you deserve.

I'm what most people would call bisexual but guess what? I didn't learn what labels were until I was in school and met idiots like you.To finish on a positive note though, I truly believe that the important thing is not the gender of the person that we love, just that we DO love. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Damone you are such a tool. You and I and everyone else indeed had to learn to tie our shoelaces etc, however you didn't choose your sexuality and neither did I. In fact I would like to ask you to let us know the day when you made the choice to be heterosexual as oppossed to be homosexual. And what swayed your decision... C'mon mate, tell us. 1 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

How is it that 3 of the original 6 Mental Health Specialists that were on the panel for maintaining the DSV-4 Mental Health Guide in 1973, all 6 of them voted to have Homosexuality removed as a mental health disease and now 3 of them are saying it was a mistake and that it is a mental health disease and have written books in the 1990's and in 2000's proving that it is a mental health disease that can be treated and has been successfully treated. When homosexuals are treated and turn to live a heterosexual life the homosexual community condemns them and says they most have not been gay. How convenient for the homosexual community!
