Why do you do what you do.

This is the silliest thing I have ever heard,You don't get your way so you want to sabotage the economy and private business owners? Are you kidding me?I'm sorrry you feel everyone hates you for your actions,I do not hate gay people but the gay community's reaction to the passage of prop8 is disturbing. The people of California spoke loudly and clearly at the poles, why can you not accept that? Here is an idea for you, move to a state that allows this or even better why don't you get a referendum on the ballot to have the Castro district secede from the union and form a gay nation. If you did this you could form your own gay government and fund all your gay projects yourselves. The more I think about it I really like the idea.....get to work on that will you? And remember, God does love you, and all humans he has laid out laws for us to follow and incase you forgot, practicing gay sex , along with alot of other activities that make a person feel good at the moment are sins. We are all sinners, most do not flaunt our actions or demand society accept our sinning ways. Oh well I'm done here, good luck with your little protest, from the reports i have seen not many are on board in the Bay area and the rest of the country has not heard a word about it.I hope it backfires on you 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Every thing you just said is just dumb, you can’t tell you ass hole from a hole in the ground, oh and can you learn to use proper grammar and spelling next time. Only the bible hates gay people, and just to let you know, man wrought the bible not god.

LOL... I'm sorry, but your post made me laugh. Telling him his grammar and spelling usage was wrong, when you used "Every Thing" as well as "can't tell YOU ass hole" followed by a comma instead of a period. Not capitalizing the letter in a proper name (although YOU don't believe in it, The Bible is still a book and follows proper grammar rules, same with God)

The original poster makes a lot of good points, however goes about it the wrong way, kind of like the "Day without a Gay". That's my opinion, at least.

First of all...
Whats disturbing is people discriminating against one another.
You'd think in todays day and age most citizens would be less discriminitive.
What are we a bunch of neandrothals??
Take a look at history, in 1865 after the civil war, African Americans were givin the right to vote. However because of the laws that were inforced in different states, known as Jim Crow laws most dark skinned people did NOT have equal rights.
It really wasn't untill the 1960's that the public embraced a new way of living during the civil rights movement.
That was nearly a hundred years later....
what im saying is back then the majority of the population misunderstod the black community.
similar to how the gay community is misunderstood today.
and it took our ancesters nearly a century for our ancesters to recognize african americans as equals.
I believe that most americans wouldn't think it strange to see some one who was black at the polls.
So why can't we apply what we as a nation, as a human race have learned through the years and appreciate our diversity?
Perhaps even make an effort to understand and bridge mankinds differences.
IT WILL ONLY BE A MATTER OF TIME UNTIL GAY PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS AS ANY ONE ELSE.
** so why do YOU DO WHAT YOU do??**

I find it a disgrace that we have discrimination and racism as well. What I also find a bit disheartening is the interpretation of "rights".

I keep seeing that the homosexual community wants "EQUAL RIGHTS", but what I don't see is how their rights have been "taken away". Here's what I mean:
Do you still have the right to free speech? Yep. Do you have the right to protest? Yep. (shown that one VERY well). Do you have the freedom of religion? Sure do! Do you have the right to bear arms? You betcha! Do you have the right to vote? As far as I can remember... Do you have the "right" to marry whomever you want? Sure! As long as it fits within the confines of "marriage", which until a few years ago was implicitly defined as "one man and one woman". It's only been recently that the interpretation of marriage was skewed to mean anything else. As this has happened, there was a need of definition so that it was understood and not implied anymore. Civil Unions and Domestic Partnerships are available to those who do not want to marry someone of the opposite sex and choose to be in a same-sex couple. Why fight for changing marriage? Instead, the fight should be to grant equal rights to those within Civil Unions or Domestic Partnerships. Even if it were overturned in California, what good is it? It's not accepted everywhere else, even at a federal level! Instead of fighting about marriage being defined as it was implied from the beginning, use what you have and take the path of least resistance. It will still get you where you want to be!
